Salaams <3 My name is Hanan and I am a Queer, genderqueer, Disabled Doula & abortion facilitator. I live in Madison, Wisconsin (USA) but assist/care for people from all over, including across the country, virtually.
Originally from Milwaukee, I completed ½ of my public health degree at American University in Washington, D.C, and studied comparative health systems in Madrid, Spain.
I'm now a non-traditional student of public health & biology on a pre-med track at University of Wisconsin - Madison. I just left my career in Postpartum Nursing in order to focus on finishing my coursework & applying to medical school. I hope to pursue OBGYN and become an abortion provider.
I became involved in advocacy and organizing work pretty young; I have been a sexual & reproductive health & rights (SRHR) educator since high school.
I am a free (pro-bono), full-spectrum doula and abortion facilitator. I love doing education on sex/reproduction, self-managed abortion, pregnancy & childbirth. Because Wisconsin has a near-total abortion ban, I've spent much of the last year providing free training on self-managed abortion to my community.
I am not an abortion provider (midwife, physician, etc) but I am happy to help facilitate abortion in anyway I can-- educating about SMA and how abortion medication is accessed (especially in places like Wi), help coordinate or provide transportation to Illinois/Minnesota, provide emotional support during the process, etc.
I can't wait to meet you!
