Salaam! I’m Emi, a Full-Spectrum Birth Doula, Sex Educator, Youth Activist, and proud Muslim Albanian passionate about supporting holistic and justice-centered approaches to reproductive wellness. I’m a student studying Evolutionary Biology at Columbia University, where I explore how we can harness the intersections of well-being, community, and culturally responsive, whole-person care.
My journey into birthwork began with grassroots organizing in my South Minneapolis community, meeting people where they were and building a foundation of education, support, and empowerment. I’m the founder of The Birth Butterfly Collective, a circle of birth and bodyworkers uplifting youth reproductive experiences, and The Body Org, a national youth-led organization reimagining sexual wellness, and am the co-founder of Manglovo Health, a startup focused on next-generation contraceptive innovation. I also serve on the AFY Muslim Youth Leadership Council, where I work to amplify the voices and experiences of Muslim youth in reproductive health and justice spaces.
My philosophy of care is rooted in honoring your unique story, identity, and emotions. I want to show up for you as a steady, compassionate presence - someone who holds space for the moments that may feel uncomfortable, empowering, or deeply transformative. Whether it’s navigating a care plan, exploring your options, or simply holding your hand through the grunts, breaths, and liminal spaces of reproductive experiences, I want to center you and what matters most to your journey. My goal is to affirm your agency, autonomy, and emotion every step of the way.
Outside of my work, I find joy in fermenting kombucha, trying new recipes, exploring different styles of movement, and spending time with my kitten, Matcha. Through the Ad'iyah Collective, I’m excited to build intentional connections and contribute to nurturing spaces where wellness, care, and community thrives. I hope to show up for you in a way that reflects your values, listens deeply to your needs, and prioritizes your comfort and empowerment.
